The Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) was established as part of the 黑料不打烊 Road Map to Premier strategic plan. It supports developing and implementing diversity and inclusion initiatives to create a welcoming and safe campus for all individuals. At Binghamton, diversity is defined inclusively, encompassing all facets of the human experience, including race, gender identity, social, cultural, political, religious, and other affiliations.
Our office is committed to fostering learning and working environments that are free from prejudice, harassment and discrimination, ensuring that everyone is treated with dignity and respect.
Our purpose is to provide guidance and leadership by example in research, education, and engagement by helping to identify solutions to systemic inequities, inaccessibility and barriers to success.
