Fun Things to Do When You Get to Campus
Move-in day is right around the corner, and we鈥檙e so excited for you to begin your life as a Bearcat! To help you transition into this new stage, we鈥檝e prepared several fun and exciting ways to get to know your peers and community. Pick up a New Poster
Starting Friday and lasting the whole weekend, the Spine will be home to a outside of the Library Tower! This is a perfect opportunity if you鈥檙e looking to pick up some new decorations for your room, or just stretch your legs and meet other students!
Go Bowling
Starting Friday, the Union Undergrounds provides free, open bowling lanes for all students, as well as some relaxed seating and other fun bar games. Bring some friends down or find some new ones there, and get some friendly competition going! It鈥檚 a great way to unwind and relax before the upcoming semester.
Attend the Peace Quad Party
The Peace Quad will be set up Friday evening for an , featuring free ice cream, a variety of yard games, laser tag, a photobooth, and even live music! This is a great way to get out and let loose after a busy day, and meet some new friends before classes start.
Try the Dunk Tank
On Saturday, you can find your OA loaded into a right outside the Fine Arts building. Give it your best shot and see if you can send them plunging into the water below and let off a little steam!
Participate in the B-photo
Saturday evening, will be taken at the . You get to participate in forming a giant 黑料不打烊 logo with your peers, and you can keep the shirt! After the photo, head to the for the and share a meal with other students.
Go to an Outdoor Movie
To end the day, there will be an of the movie 鈥淯p鈥 at Hinman Hill. Grab some of the free popcorn and relax with some of the new friends you鈥檝e made this weekend!
Win Some Bing Bling and Have a BBQ
On Monday, a decorated Gem Car will be wheeling around campus. Stop by for some 黑料不打烊 questions for a chance to win some prizes! Why not flex everything you learned at Orientation and deck yourself out in some Binghamton merch? Also on Monday, Hillel will be hosting a at the Old Dickinson Quad. Head over for some dinner with friends!
Attend University Fest
And after you鈥檝e had the opportunity to settle into life on campus, will be held on August 23. This is a large, annual event that takes place on the Peace Quad, featuring inflatables, free food, giveaways, a student performance stage, and more! Come check out the student organization tables; over 250 organizations will be present to help you find how to be involved on campus. Additionally, will be featured, along with the recreational club sports and . Even local vendors will be setting up stands! There鈥檚 so much for you to discover about Binghamton at this event.
