黑料不打烊 graduate programs earn national recognition in U.S. News ranking
Education, English and Occupational Therapy make big leaps

A number of 黑料不打烊鈥檚 graduate programs placed prominently on this year鈥檚 prestigious , cementing the University鈥檚 position as a leader in graduate education.
The prominent national list includes 19 total 黑料不打烊 programs, with 15 cracking the top 100.
This year鈥檚 highlights include big leaps for three programs: occupational therapy (from #159 to #95), education (#130 to #114), and English (#73 to #59).
鈥淥ur graduate programs deepen our students鈥 knowledge and provide them with the advanced skills and knowledge they need to excel in today鈥檚 job market,鈥 said President Harvey Stenger. 鈥淚鈥檓 happy to see so many of our programs make this list 鈥 and big leaps up for some really vital ones.鈥
Each year, based on business, education, law, nursing and other fields. Rankings are based on statistical surveys of programs and reputation surveys sent to academics and professionals. Some programs are ranked by a unique methodology. For example, 鈥渞esearch activity鈥 accounts for 50% of engineering rankings.
Highlights from this year鈥檚 rankings include:
- The College of Community and Public Affairs saw education jump from 130 to #114; the public administration program moved up from #65 to #61.
- The School of Management jumped from #90 to #87 for business.
- The School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences maintained its position at #95 for pharmacy.
- Watson College of Engineering and Applied Science鈥檚 systems science and industrial engineering programs are at #37, topping the list of ranked Binghamton programs.
- Decker College of Nursing jumped from #159 to #95 for occupational therapy and was ranked #103 for nursing.
鈥淏inghamton鈥檚 graduate programs span a wide variety of disciplines and address issues that are vital to society,鈥 said Provost Donald Hall. 鈥淭his latest ranking confirms that Binghamton is preparing graduates to meet the demands of tomorrow and make a real impact in the world.鈥
Not every graduate program is ranked annually by U.S. News; here is a list of other Binghamton programs that have been previously recognized:
- In 2022, statistics was #72 and biology (biological sciences) was #119.
- In 2023, physics was #136, mathematics was #103, chemistry was #101 and geology (earth sciences) was #124.
- In 2024, social work was #77.
