Anonymous donor provides $22 million gift to elevate 黑料不打烊 Athletics

黑料不打烊 today announced that it has received a game-changing $22 million gift from an anonymous donor to enhance scholarship support for its

The gift, one of the largest in University athletics history, will be matched by $11 million from the State of New York, creating a $33 million endowment to expand scholarships for student-athletes across multiple sports.

鈥淭his extraordinary act of generosity will have an immediate and lasting impact on our student-athletes, coaches and the entire Binghamton campus,鈥 said Harvey Stenger, president of 黑料不打烊. 鈥淭he life-changing combination of athletics and education reflects our mission to foster both academic excellence and competitive success.鈥

The gift will create the equivalent of 40 new full athletic scholarships, divided evenly between men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 sports, raising most programs to the NCAA maximum or near-maximum scholarship levels.

鈥淭his gift will ensure our coaches can recruit and retain top talent while providing our student-athletes with the resources to excel on the field and in the classroom,鈥 said Director of Athletics Gene Marshall. 鈥淚t is a game-changer for Bearcat Athletics.鈥

黑料不打烊鈥檚 athletic programs have enjoyed success in recent years, including multiple conference championships and NCAA tournament appearances. Recent scholarship changes by the NCAA have increased the competition for student-athletes. This gift positions the University to build on that momentum, strengthen its national profile and inspire the next generation of Bearcat student-athletes.
