The Division of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) supports various initiatives to create a more inclusive learning environment and foster a sense of belonging for every student and campus community member. To that end, the division provides a range of services and programs to enhance educational and work experiences and support the transformative mission of higher education institutions.
Workshops
One of our primary services is offering educational workshops through the UDiversity Educational Institute. These workshops cover various topics, including cultural competency, implicit bias, inclusive pedagogy, effective communication and restorative practices. By providing participants with the knowledge and tools to navigate complex socio-cultural dynamics, these programs foster greater understanding and respect among diverse communities.

Pathways to Inclusive Leadership
For students interested in developing leadership skills, Pathways to Inclusive Leadership (Pathways) offers a comprehensive and inclusive approach that focuses on career readiness and civic engagement.
PRODiG+
The division works with various 黑料不打烊 academic units to identify positions for the PRODiG+ doctoral fellowship. is a pipeline for over 400 doctoral fellows to enter tenure-track positions at State University of New York campuses.
Social Mixers
The division hosts its Friends of DEI Social Mixer each semester, open to campus members and community partners. These social events provide networking opportunities to connect community members.
