Search and Recruitment

The Division provides several comprehensive services to the campus community, including guidance and oversight of the recruitment and search process to ensure that the University meets federal and state mandates and institutional goals. 

黑料不打烊 and the Research Foundation of the State University of New York, as contractors with the United States Federal Government, must comply with Executive Order 11246, which prohibits discrimination in employment decisions based on race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or national origin and promotes affirmative action to ensure equal access in all aspects of the employment process.

DEI provides education and guidance regarding non-discriminatory practices and employment policies that encourage diversity and fairness in our search processes. This, in turn, promotes an inclusive, diverse and civil campus community.

DEI offers workshops throughout the academic year for faculty and staff serving on University searches. All committee members must attend the Search Committee Orientation Workshop. 

The division collects data about searches, including the racial, ethnic and gender identity of the candidate pool.
